“An Anatomy of Doubt,” a collaboration between ProPublica, The Marshall Project and Chicago’s WBEZ’s “This American Life,” airs this weekend.
In 2008, an 18-year-old woman said she was raped at knifepoint by a stranger who broke into her home outside Seattle. No one believed her. That’s where “An Anatomy of Doubt” begins its shattering exploration of trust, fear and the power of good detective work.
The radio piece was reported along with the highly-acclaimed article, “An Unbelievable Story of Rape,” by reporters Ken Armstrong and T. Christian Miller, which received a 2015 George W. Polk award.
